BIS

BIS - a project in the context of the IdA-Program

Building bridges, strengthening integration

The BIS-Project has been created to give young individuals the opportunity to do a work placement in England or Turkey. By doing the work placement the young people are likely to increase their chances of getting a job within the European job market. Furthermore, the participants get the opportunity to improve their language skills and their cross-cultural skills.

Another part of the BIS-Project is the realization of an exchange programme for experts. The professionals get the chance to share their knowledge about the use of methods and their way of working. This exchange of experiences should lead to improved processes culminating in the general improvement of equal opportunities and opportunities of integration for deprived young adolescents.

Co-operation partner of the BIS-Project is the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz.

Transnational partner in England is Peter Corbishley, CEO Prinicipia School of Language Ltd in Pershore.

This project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and from the European Social Fund of the European Union.
